IRF2BPL-NEDAMSS Awareness Day is observed on the third Wednesday in August each year. This advocacy and awareness day focuses on IRF2BPL NEDAMSS, an ultra-rare, fatal, progressive neurodegenerative disorder with roughly 50 (plus or minus) known cases worldwide. Many children affected do not reach their 10th birthday, and the community is working toward a viable treatment for everyone living with the condition. People can celebrate by sharing IRF2BPL-NEDAMSS stories and wearing yellow, the organization#s color of hope. The day was created by Yellow for Yiannis LTD in 2026, by the Yellow for Yiannis IRF2BPL-NEDAMSS foundation to strengthen solidarity, honor children lost, and highlight scientific progress and hope for future treatment.
