Fix Your Windows and Doors Day urges homeowners to inspect, repair, or upgrade windows and doors to improve security, energy efficiency, and curb appeal. Use the day to seal drafts, replace damaged weatherstripping, repair frames or hardware, and address sticking or misaligned units--small fixes now can prevent bigger, costlier problems later.
The day was first observed on June 24 in its inaugural year, and then was changed to June 23 from 2026 onward.
