Every May 19, we crank up the volume to honor the roadies - the backbone of live entertainment. From setting up massive stages and tuning guitars to running sound checks and packing down gear at 2 AM, roadies make the magic happen, night after night, tour after tour.
Who Are Roadies?
Roadies are the skilled technicians, crew members, and logistics experts who travel with bands and performers to ensure every show goes off without a hitch. Whether it's lighting, sound, instruments, or stage design, roadies handle it all - often working long hours in the background while the spotlight shines on stage.
Why We Celebrate
Without roadies, there would be no live show. National Roadie Day is our chance to say thank you to these tireless professionals whose hard work, expertise, and passion keep the music alive. It's a day to recognize their dedication, creativity, and resilience in an often grueling but rewarding industry.
